Home tour // Frederick boutique owners share their eclectic homes

DecoratingLaura RennieComment

I am a sucker for home tours! I was one of those kids that would go to a friend's house and want to see *every* room, even the master closets. Forget playing with toys! I want to see your butler's pantry! (I had one childhood friend whose four-story mansion had a butler's pantry, exercise room, library and indoor pool. I was in hog heaven.)

I'm declaring this week HOME TOUR WEEK and thought I'd kick it off with two homes owned by local shop owners. Angelique and Saulé own Silk & Burlap, a home and apparel boutique located in downtown Frederick. (These shot glasses would make a phenomenal hostess gift. Is anyone visiting me any time soon? I'd like these. Ha!)

I am swooning over that lower kitchen cabinet made from IKEA pieces! They *nailed* my dream kitchen look with the drawers, brass hardware and butcher block countertops. (And those pendants over the island! And the dining room lighting! Heart-eyed emojis!) I also adore the porch, especially the spot with the dining table and chairs.

LOVE the homework/craft room! I want to play board games in there until I'm done being social — then I'd take a mug of coffee outside to enjoy the chiminea.

Come back tomorrow to check out one of Frederick's oldest homes, plus a bed and breakfast in Virginia!
